The Hero Shooter Marvel Rivals Unabashedly Unveils the New Lady Loki Outfit
While some may dismiss Marvel Rivals as an imitation of Overwatch, developer NetEase deserves praise for finding innovative ways to engage its unabashedly thirsty fanbase. Introducing Lady Loki, a completely new outfit for the existing Strategist hero Loki, providing players a comics-accurate version of the Norse trickster god(dess).
Not Hela, But Loki
Contrary to some fan speculation, the highly anticipated Lady Loki costume is not a skin for Hela. Instead, it is a full-on visual overhaul of Loki himself, complete with new voice lines. Judging by the reveal trailer, Lady Loki keeps all of Loki's core powers: his projectile attack, his trickery skill, and Doppelgänger. The sole difference is her new appearance, tailored to appeal to an audience more than ready to part with their Lattice.
A Look and Sound in Action
Here is a look at Lady Loki on the battlefield, accompanied by a taste of her new voiceover, courtesy of voice actor Abby Trott. Notably Trott also voices Magik in Marvel Rivals.
The character's lines and onscreen presence add a new dynamic to the well-known kit.
Opening the Door to Possibilities
Now that NetEase has opened the door with this gender-swapped skin for Loki, the Marvel Rivals community is already speculating about similar swaps. Popular ideas currently include:
